Once
you finally manage to escape from the first episode, the second
and all there after are very much a welcome relief. AI (Artificial
Intelligence) is another area that's treading on rather uneven
ground, most enemies are very clever but can sometimes be a
little too agile. It's as though they know when and where you're
going to fire the moment your finger presses the button.
Thankfully
it's not all like that, admittedly most of the AI opponents
adopt a 'run and attack' style of play that's quite heart pounding
yet simplistic. However there are also guys whom will run away
when hit too much, just be careful because they have a knack
for finding other ways to attack you. Some will even follow
you over the level if you don't dispatch them there and then.
Nothing more frightening than a horde of bad guys you forgot
to dispatch earlier, coming back later to haunt you at a crucial
moment.
The
game continues
With
the already noted exception of 'Episode1', the rest of the game
can actually be quite a lot of fun. Once you reach Greece the
weapons, level design and enemies suddenly become a lot more
involving and fun to play. After having been cooped up in tiny
dark corridors for several hours, the wide open sandy shores
that inhabit this lost world are a welcome relief to any time
traveller.
