By
now, I'm sure that many people have familiarized themselves
with VisionTek as one of the leading graphics card producers
in the US. Since 1988 VisionTek
has been producing video cards exclusively for OEMs in high
volumes. However, it was not until recently that VisionTek joined
the retail world with their rather bland, though extremely well
built, VisionTek GeForce3.
Just
like their release of the first
generation GeForce3, VisionTek worked closely with Nvidia
to be the first to release graphics cards based on the new GeForce
Ti series. Dubbed "Xtasy", this series so far consists
of four cards, three of which we'll be looking at today. The
Xtasy 6964, 6564, 5864 are all based on Nvidia's new Ti series,
Ti which is the chemical symbol for titanium. What does titanium
have to do with graphics cards? My guess is as good as yours.
(Please
note that benchmarks of all three boards can be found at the
end of this review).

the series. This is denoted by the numeric index 6964, which
is the highest number in the series.
