Installation
of the drive went over flawlessly. Simply pop out the 2 screws
holding the original heatsink onto the V3. Then, apply a little
alcohol to the part in-between the heatsink and chipset. Let
it sit for about 5-10 minutes, to let the alcohol do it's thing.
After that, you carefully pull off the heatsink and scrape off
any residue using the supplied razorblade. Then dry it off,
and snap the fan/heatsink's base onto the chip. Finally simply
screw on the fan/heatsink to the base, and attach the powercord,
your done!
The
drivers that come with the slipstream drive offer a huge suite
of overclocking options, all without having to hack into the
systems registry. You can test a full range of overclocking
options, and you don't have to worry about pushing it to high
because if the card is unable to start, it will automatically
revert back to it's original state, which is nice. The only
problem I did have was that for each clock change you need to
restart your computer, which becomes a pain after awhile. Next,
on to the overclocking options.....
