Not only does this give you a chance to learn some different units but it also changes your whole perspective and pulls you deeper and deeper into the plot. It's not long before you discover that a game, which started out as a simple colony war, has turned into a brutal race for ultimate dominance. Not especially keen on either side you continue to fight and find even more surprises along the way, but we won't reveal those for you.

The gameplay is NEVER repetitive, each mission is unique and requires a whole new set of tactics to which you may have to replay several times before getting completely correct, something you could only do in a game.

As for the multiplayer, gone are the two-hour games of C&C/TA style because you no longer have to build bases and in comes an utterly addictive blast fest. Whether it's DM, Capture the Flag or Scorezone, all the modes are unique with interesting landscapes and the ability to keep you sustainably addicted for untold lengths of time, top stuff.

A graphical feast!

Only in the likes of Quake3Arena and Halo have we seen graphics so lush and detailed as that of GC. Whether it's sandy deserts, misty forests or the cold arctic, all can be found within GC. Making full use of bump environment mapping, TRUE real-time lighting and shadows, solar flares and some of the most astounding geometry and textures ever seen, GC goes to town with looks.
