"This product can be very valuable for those of us who would like to have some of their ports relocated to the front of their PC."

Is it cheap!?

Over at hotmodpc.com they sell these babies for $19.99, which is a little cheaper than FrontX's list price of $25.00. But when you take into account the upgrades (for USB, serial, act) this will most likely run you an additional $6-$8 a pop. These add-ons should come with the FrontX from the get go.

Verdict

This product can be very valuable for those of us who would like to have some of their ports relocated to the front of their PC. The most compelling item about this system is the expansion options. While on the other hand its charging additional money for ports that should have been included in the first place, such as the serial and USB ports, is one major setback about this drive.

Numerous cords running through the insides of your case can also be a huge problem for some. This can restrict airflow, not to mention interfere with your everyday maintenance of the parts inside your case. This product is a mixed bag; on one hand it can be very helpful to relocate your ports to the front, and on the other the price is a little high considering the upgrades you will need to buy in addition to the main unit. Thanks go out to hotmodpc.com for supplying us with the review unit.
