The KW15 also includes onboard video and sound. While this can be an advantage for some, this can be a major disadvantage for others. This disadvantage manly comes to those who would rather install their own, more powerful, sound or video card. Fortunately, both of these can be disabled fairly easily allowing for you to install a better sound or video card.

The BIOS

FIC chose wisely when they selected Award's 6.00 PGMA BIOS for this board. The BIOS allows for jumperless CPU setup, and even includes options for overclocking your CPU, which is a real plus. The only problem with this is there was no option to alter the CPU's voltage settings, nor was there really a wide array of FSB settings. The BIOS also includes the popular trend chip away anti-virus program, which can protect your computer from some boot sector viruses.

Most other expected areas that should have appeared within the BIOS were there, as was the inclusion of the usual power management options. You'll be able to find the customary wake on modem, and wake on LAN options, there is even an option that let's you set the computer to turn on at a curtain time of the day. You can even make the system turn on if a certain hot key is hit, or mouse button is clicked on.
