A
change of scenery
With the original Battlezone you could have compared to Uprising
or Uprising2 but with Battlezone2 the dynamics of gameplay are
now so separate that the same analogy could not be conceived.
This is one game that Pandemic Studios have got so right it's
almost like a dream come true and there is no dream we rather
have be true thank BZ2.
Multiplayer
is yet another part of Battlezone that in the original was an
essential part of fun giving loveliness. BZ2 takes up where
BZ left off and adds all the fundamentals of single player into
multiplayer to make a deep and dark universe where quite literally
anything can happen. Just be prepared for several hours of play,
that's how long it can take to win against a good opponent.
Thankfully BZ2 has taken a completely new look at teamplay and
come up with something quite unique as well as cheat proof.
Other
than the original Battlezone's highly successful deathmatch
(shooter-style) and strategy (RTS-style) multiplayer, BZ2 introduces
a new team play mode. The idea is that different people can
have different roles - builder, defenders and attackers - they
can communicate with each other quickly and easily through the
integrated command interface. Suddenly BZ2 turns into some kind
of Team Fortress/Tribes hybrid with attitude; the best part
is the formula works.
