Blitz: Disc Arena Interview

"Blitz - Disc Arena will be the first release of SouthEnd Interactive and my first major title as well."

Kevin Perko: To start things off, lets get the basic info. What is your position for the company? What is your role in this game?

Daniel Jeppsson: I am the lead programmer of Blitz - Disc Arena and co-founder of SouthEnd Interactive. My role extends to some administration and design parts since I like to have a say in just about everything from artwork to game design apart from the programming stuff.

KP: When was this company founded?

DJ: The company was founded 1998 in Malmö Sweden.

KP: Where did you come up with the name, SouthEnd Interactive?

DJ: Well, the name was selected from a bunch of names that we found to be ok in the long run. A name like Hurricane or something similar would start to sound silly after a while in my opinion. The name simply states that the company is based in the south end of Sweden. :-)

KP: Has SouthEnd Interactive produced any games prior to this? Have you?

DJ: Blitz - Disc Arena will be the first release of SouthEnd Interactive and my first major title as well. I've only worked on lesser productions up until now but my strong 3D math and programming skills are up to the task. ;-)
