Of course there is more then this. But for what we are concerned, this is all we need to know. What we want to do is to open this circuit and include a switch to it. Here is a visual of what we need.

Time to get dirty. Start by opening the CompuNurse. The back of the unit is held in place by four clips, two on top and two on the bottom. You will need a small flat screwdriver to unclip them. Once opened, you will find inside a small board with circuits on it, gently remove it from its box.

Take a piece of electrical wire and connect one of its lead to the positive lead of the CompuNurse. I secured the contact with electrical tape because I don't want it to be permanent. If you want it to be permanent, a small drop of silicone would be perfect.
