"All the usual such as multiplayer and time demos still exist as well as the ability to play test courses solely for trying out cars..."

A game JUST about 'Porsches'?

Unlike the previous NFS games, the 5th one focuses solely on a type of car we have all come to know and respect as the 'Porsche'. A make that has a long and varied history and continues to do so even today and hopefully for the distant future. Each car has been intricately modelled to the highest of detail and had its exact physics and engine design mapped on top.

The result is a game, which re-creates the history of this stunning make and places all its various gameplay modes around it. For example, You can play in the typical old single player against CPU and pedestrian traffic racing mode or play as a test driver who gets to try out all the cars in a 'history mode'. In this mode you follow the car through time and drive each one, upgrading and buying new ones depending on your success.

All the usual such as multiplayer and time demos still exist as well as the ability to play test courses solely for trying out cars, gone are the police 'pursuit' modes and crash-em-up style races, NFS5 preferring to focus on core racing rather than anything else. Although this is perhaps one area that should have been left alone, NFS5 can feel a little bland at times due to the lack of original play.
