With
the Nvidia GeForce2 GTS chip announced a little over a month
ago, its no small feat that Nvidia was actually able to ship
their product within a month of the initial announcement. This
is incredible. I'm used to having to wait for months on end
for a company's latest chip to come out (can you say 3dfx?),
not this short 30-day period of time! Nevertheless, the finished
product is in our hands in the form of the Leadtek GeForce2
GTS 32MB graphics card.
Leadtek
is a company that is well known for their line of high-end graphics
cards, IDE controllers, and mainboards. Not until recently has
Leadtek started manufacturing consumer-oriented graphics cards
based on Nvidia's line of super-charged chips. Leadtek's newest
graphics card - the Winfast GeForce2 GTS 32MB - should be in
stores by the time you read this, and be selling for a retail
price of a little over $300.
