Being
the first review I have done of an Athlon Mainboard from Gigabyte,
I was quite skeptical that their Micro-ATX GA-7VM Athlon Mainboard
could compete with larger full size boards, especially those
from ABIT and ASUS. Gigabyte has a long history of building
quality mainboards for AMD based products. Their first Athlon
Mainboard, the GA-7IX was praised for its superior stability,
and overclocking support. Based on the KX133 chipset from VIA,
the successor to the AMD-750, this board has the potential to
take the lead over older Mainboards sporting the AMD-750 chipset.
