"Although we don't like to admit it, MidnightGT looks increasingly as though it'll be the only DOG coming out of Rage."

Midnight GT:

Although we don't like to admit it, MidnightGT looks increasingly as though it'll be the only DOG coming out of Rage. Besides having special contracts for super car designs and using some very high quality and impressive graphics, it's still just another racer. Thankfully Martin has helped us set aside some of our worries by answering a few key questions on the game.

Update: We just saw the new shots, our perspectives are starting to change =)

Ques1) Midnight GT (MGT), just another racer or with something else to offer?

Martin: We have a license from Pinnifarina (The design house of Ferrari), which entitles us to 8 exclusive car designs. These cars have never been put into general manufacture. Each of the designs has a unique feature, there is one with no wing mirrors, but it has video screens in the car and small cameras on the outside, cool eh!

Ques2) The ECTS version we saw looked a little dusty around the edges and certainly needed some work, just what's changed since we saw it last?

Martin: Quite a bit as you can imagine, the track design has probably been the major development.

Ques3) Will MGT give you the ability to take short cuts down different roads/tracks? Something that most racers seem to miss out on and that takes away depth.

Martin: There will be a few options to the driver with the routes, but there will obviously be an optimum route given that it is a racing product.
