We
honestly weren't expecting to see the VFX3D at ECTS this year,
however the American company behind it decided to come across
and show it after all. We were able to have a try of it using
a special flight simulator as a test demo and all I can say
is WOW! The headset itself was lighting than other VR headsets
I have tried and it followed the movements you made when you
tried to move your head around. The built in speakers are high
quality with no static like others and it's just like being
there.
If
you have ever tried one of those stereoscopic glasses from Wicked3D
or Elsa then you have some idea of what this is like. The difference
is the image is perfect and you are surrounded by it because
it's directly in front of your eyes, making for a very deep
experience. The model itself will set you back an expensive
$2,000 odd and in doing has confined itself to the elite of
the market. I for one doubt I will buy it when it's that expensive,
instead I would suggest people looking at this take a look at
the Sony Glasstron Glasses which are cheaper and give virtually
the same experience for under half the cost.
