C&C Renegade

"Thankfully we bribed a friend at another magazine with a can of chilled coke!(name not mentioned, but cheers MAN!) To let us borrow some screen shots from a Press CD"

Sadly Westwood's PR people didn't reply to our requests to see how C&C: Renegade (formerly Commando) was getting along at ECTS. Thankfully we bribed a friend at another magazine with a can of chilled coke!(name not mentioned, but cheers MAN!) To let us borrow some screen shots from a Press CD. Chances are that by now you will have all seen the shots anyway, but hay here they are again =)

It's a pitty we couldn't actually see the game in action, but then we plan to beg on our knee's outside their booth tomorrow in front of several thousand on-lookers (yes that'll be us hehehe). From quizing our snoop we found out that it's essentially C&C but in 3D and from a Quake style perspective, as if we didn't know.

The game is said to follow a plot similar if not almost the same as on the Tiberium Sun time-line. The graphics, sounds and levels all look to be truly next-generation style and it is hoped that the final version plays as well as it looks.

From what we are told it's a smooth playing game with graphics that look even better than in these shots and rolls along a similarly detailed style of play as Team Fortress2. We'll let you know more tomorrow when we plead to see it in action, oh yes!
