Cooling your computer

"Today's computers are generating more and more heat due to faster processors, poor air circulation, and ultimately overclocking."

Today's computers are generating more and more heat due to faster processors, poor air circulation, and ultimately overclocking. More and more people are buying and building systems for the sole reason of overclocking. Just take a look at kyrotech, they build a whole system based on a mini-refrigerator to cool an overclocked processor. Overclocking your CPU and/or other stuff creates dangerous amounts of heat which can cause crashes and ultimately total system failures. In this article I will explain how to combat this dangerous heat with a few simple and cost-effective steps. I will explain how and where to place fans.

Types of fans

There are many types of fans that will help you cool your computer best, among them are ball baring fans. This type of fan is extremely quiet, and will cool your computer well. Another great cooling device is the card cooler. The card cooler is a dual fan set up that will cool 4 cards (video, sound ect...) in your computer at once. It is much better then most other fans that only cool 1 cards processor, and is nonabrasive plus it is much cheaper.
