"Fan speed will have a big impact on their performance but that's not all, the form will also effect each fan's ability."

Air Flow

The graph above illustrates how much air each of these units can blow (no pun intended). Fan speed will have a big impact on their performance but that's not all, the form will also effect each fan's ability. If it's only your GeForce or Voodoo3 you want to cool down, you best choice is probably the CBF32. This is because it pushes all its air around only one or two cards. On the other hand, if you want to cool down two Voodoo2s in SLI in addition to your 2D graphic card, you'll be better served by the original card cooler which cools up to four cards, or the CAF12 which cool up to five.

Power consumption

Here the CAF12 has the advantage. Power may be a concern if you only have a 230W or less power supply, or if you use lots of other fans and drives. The CBF32 power consumption is really high and the YS Tech fans use 3pin connectors (resulting in higher power use). You really should get an adapter to plug it right into your power supply. The card cooler exists in 3 forms: sleeve bearing with 4pin connectors, ball bearing with 4pin connectors or ball bearing with 3 pin connectors.
